About the project

Momentum is a project launched by Massimadi Foundation with the aim of setting up an annual mentorship program for the screenwriting of audio-visual projects whose content is developed by screenwriters who identify as black and part of the LGBTQQAAI+ communities.

Spread over nearly 6 months, the selected screenwriters will participate in several workshops, classes, and conferences without mentionning the support of mentors in order to deepen their writing process, refine their screenplay. and equip themselves to penetrate the Quebec and Canadian film industry.

The objective of this project is to support young Afro-queer people to tell their stories and thus raise public awareness in order to combat all discrimination against LGBTQ+ people, especially in the black communities.
