How do you raise a child when your own mother has abandoned you? Jamaican-American poet and LGBTQ+ activist Staceyann Chin (Def Poetry Jam, MotherStruck!) embarks on a heartbreaking journey from Brooklyn to Montreal, Cologne to Kingston, in search of her missing mother.

Between buried pain, a search for answers, and a radical act of forgiveness, she and her daughter redefine the meaning of home, healing, and motherhood. A powerful documentary about resilience and reconciliation.

Available online the day after the in-theatre screening.
