A young black woman embarks on a journey through time and space, where imagination and reality merge. She is guided by a mysterious entity.

Zwarte Ibis (Black Ibis) traces a young black woman's quest for intimacy in a world where the boundaries between the individual and the collective, the political and the personal, the past and the present, are becoming increasingly blurred.

This poetic reverie offers an Afro-surrealist vision of contemporary relationships with oneself and with an imagined community, while questioning the historical and cultural representations imposed on the intimate lives of Black people in the diaspora.

Available online the day after the in-theatre screening.
