As people who present themselves to the world through the prism of masculinity, we are often confronted with the expectations that society associates with men: insensitivity, strength, dominance. However, this imposed image does not always reflect our realities and very often, we find ourselves trapped in these projections, which confine us.
Softboï is a celebration of queer male identities. Because we are the only ones who define our way of being, this exhibition invites us to let the softness that lies dormant within each of us emerge.
The exhibition is intended to be a place of welcome, encounter, and freedom of speech, celebrating the existence of non-binary people, trans men, and masculine women from diverse backgrounds (BIPOC). Under the banner of the importance of the collective and community building, it opens a space for sharing and listening, where journeys intersect and resonate with one another.

Sickkid (Ornella Salnot) is a visual artist from Guadeloupe, based in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal.
His film and visual practice explores the image as a space of memory and healing, capable of transforming our realities and bringing together what seemed fragmented. With his first solo exhibition, Softboï, iel celebrates queer masculine identities and creates a place where softness and vulnerability become strengths.
Through his works, Sickkid seeks to make the image a gesture of care, an invitation to meet differently and to imagine new ways of existing together.
