Director: Natalie Jasmine Harris

Every summer, Grace and her older sister go to their grandparents' house in the South.

On the eve of her 16th birthday, Grace is called upon to follow her family's religious tradition: baptism. But the repentance required before the ritual shakes her certainties, just as she discovers the first stirrings of love for her best friend, Louise.

Shot in 16mm, Grace unfolds a sensitive and ephemeral summer in the Black American South, where the aesthetic of Black Southern Gothic is reinvented through an intimate queer gaze, revealing the interiority of a Black adolescence in search of itself.
