Multiple voices reflect on language, sound, touch, history, and choice in public and private, Black and queer spaces.

Talking Walls takes us through the Black queer spaces of Detroit, Philadelphia, and New York City, tracing the architecture of queer resistance and joy.

Through voices and archival fragments, the film pays homage to the remains of hidden homes and places where touch, language and memory preserve stories of survival and belonging.
